Citibank Carelessness via phone and at the branch

I was not able to use my debit card on July 1st when I was told it was deactivated due to the unusual activity. I was told to stop by a branch to get a new card with new numbers. I stopped by a branch yesterday and was given a temp card with the same exact numbers as my prior debit card. I called the 800 number this evening to inquire on the card numbers and the first rep I spoke with today put me on hold because she was going to verify the card number and came back to the phone to tell me she has confirmed it%u2019s a different set of numbers. Upon review of this information because I had it written down at home, I realize it is the same set of numbers. I don't appreciate being lied to. That is extremely unprofessional and shows me they can care less of the matter at hand. Is that how they train your representatives to handle phone calls and questions they do not know how to answer? What is the purpose of putting me thru humiliation at the grocery store with a non working card telling me they deactivated it for my safety but activating it again when giving me a temporary card and ordered me a new card with the same exact numbers. How are they helping me protect my information from being compromised again and or used in a unauthorized manner since it was already compromised if they still have the same card information active. Now due to the holiday i have to wait until Friday to go to a branch on my lunch break and do this all over again, as if i don't have a job or anything better to do.I am not happy with Citibank 's service at this time
