Citibank Complaint

Cannot even cancel my RCPL account after paying off.
I had been trying to cancel my Ready Credit account via phone service as the counter service staff at Holland Branch said it is the fastest way to terminate the account which it turned out not so.
Please investigate with your phone service officer Ms Priscilla regarding my request. I called her on 24th March or 25th March night & requested to cancel the account. First, she said let me check, she said i had balance of about S$11,767.
Then she said I still got outstanding to pay/owe Citibank . I asked how can it be? Then she replied to let her check again.
Then she comes back & said she needs more time to check & I told her that my maximum credit is S$11,700. If my balance is about S$11,767, then it just mean that I had excess in the account. Such simple calculation, she required to check so many times. Yes you can said she is being meticulous but also can say she is not as vigilant.
Worse, not responsible at all. She said she will check regarding the cancellation of my account & get back to me by 6pm the next day. & today is already 2 days later & I received no call from her. She checking & checking & without getting back & settle the matters made me have a terrible experience & impression of Citibank.
If I am asked why I wanted to cancel the accounts all the accounts with Citibank. I would reply, "your phone service is one of the worse among all other banks in Singapore."
No proper system of following up. Empty promises. Poor communication to client & among departments & poor
Knowledge of own bank products & informations of clients.
Advice:
- please reflect on your phone service standard & improve in it.
- please set up a proper system to let your different depts staffs retrieve clients records / requests effectively.
- please do not make empty promises & keep delaying clients precious time.
- please employ vigilant & responsible staffs.
