Making a Credit Card Payment at a Citibank Branch - Citicard Preferred


i went to a Citibank branch to make a cash payment for my Citicard credit card and I was asked by the teller for my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AND MY OCCUPATION in addition to my credit card and driver license id. This is private information a teller is not supposed to ask for private information. I have had this credit card with Citibank for the past 16 years and this is worst treatment i have ever experienced at a bank in the past 25 years. Since I do not have a checking account i get the third degree and even with photo id and my credit card and credit card statement doesn't have any trust in their customers. I was making a small payment and i felt like I was the thief taking money from them even though I was using good old American cash to make this transaction. Citibank should stop this practice of alienating customers. I went into the Citbank branch in Long Island City NY
